The mysterious female head with the moon crescent, this masterpiece of symbolist Art Nouveau sculpture enriched with eosin colours got its well-known name at the Turin Exhibition (1902), but its silhouette is already recognizable in archival photographs of the Paris World’s Fair (1900); premiered in Vienna (1900).
