Objects made using shrink-glazing technique were also popular in the offer of the Zsolnay factory.
The difference between the upper and lower glazes was enhanced by applying harmonizing or different color effects or by using a dotted or threaded pattern.
Its formation was not a result of lengthy experiments, but of chance. A factory worker dropped a bottle of kerosene into the glaze. Vilmos Zsolnay conducted further experiments, refining the procedure. This piece was designed by Tádé Sikorsky.
